IPFMS is a comprehensive ERP system that integrates various financial management modules, including budgeting, accounting, procurement, and revenue management. The system is designed to provide a single platform for managing public finances in Nepal. It uses a modular architecture, with each module built using Java and.NET technologies, and a database management system like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server. The system follows a workflow-based approach, with each module having its own workflow defined using a Java-based workflow engine like Activiti or Camunda. Security is ensured through role-based access control, data encryption, and audit trails. The system generates reports using reporting tools like JasperReports or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). IPFMS also integrates with other government systems, such as the Treasury Single Account (TSA) and the Revenue Management Information System (RMIS), using APIs and web services.
